The Bubba Index
Forget the Fed's fancy PCE deflator — this is the index that actually matters. A composite of the five pillars of the American good life: 🍺 Beer, 🚬 Cigarettes, 🍔 Burgers, 🍟 Fries, and ⛽ Gas. When the Bubba Index is running hot, the working man feels it before any economist does.
